Cody Baker

Cody Baker I have always enjoyed the outdoors. Actually, I hate to be inside. I have raced motocross since the age of 4. This year (2016), I was practicing for an event at a local track that I’ve both practiced and raced at many times. We are still unclear what happened exactly, but I crashed my dirt bike and I’m now a paraplegic. I thought my world had completely ended. I had finally made it into the Pro class and now I can’t even attend an event to watch. My wheelchair would never make it around the terrain! I also have a love for hunting and fishing, but again the question remained, “How can I get out there?”

My mom did some research at my bedside and found the Action Trackchair. I knew as soon as I saw it that I needed to get my hands on it! My mom and I worked on the application for the grant and she told me not to get my hopes up as there are many people who apply. Well, I got my Action Trackchair! Many thanks to the Action Mobility Foundation for the grant. I wouldn’t have been able to get to the places I did before my accident without it. This chair is a monster, I literally go everywhere! I just want you to know as a 16 year old boy, I have a lot of life left and lots of hunting to do!

Sincerely yours,
Cody Baker
